Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre, was born on November 16, 1725, at the Château de Rambouillet. A prominent figure of the House of Bourbon, he held several significant titles, including monarch of Lower Navarre, king of France, French co-prince of Andorra, and count of Foix. Throughout his life, the Duke was known for his philanthropic endeavors and his quiet dignity, particularly during the tumultuous years of the French Revolution.
