Their story
Prince Georg of Bavaria, born in Munich on April 2, 1880, was a distinguished member of the House of Wittelsbach. His lineage afforded him the title of Duke of Bavaria. Educated in both civil and canon law, Prince Georg initially pursued a military career, serving in the Royal Bavarian Army. However, in 1912, he was ordained a Catholic priest, embarking on a new path of religious devotion. Throughout his life, he held several ecclesiastical appointments, including a chaplaincy within the papal household. Prince Georg died in Rome on May 31, 1943, having honored his noble heritage through both secular and spiritual service.
