Their story
Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria, born in Graz in 1614, was a significant figure within the House of Habsburg and the Catholic Church. He held numerous ecclesiastical titles, serving as Roman Catholic Bishop of Passau, Halberstadt, Strasbourg, Wrocław, and Olomouc. Beyond his episcopal duties, he was also the esteemed Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights. His administrative abilities were further recognized through his appointment as stadtholder, a role in which he exercised considerable authority. Archduke Leopold Wilhelm passed away in Vienna in 1662, leaving a legacy of dedicated service to both his family and the Church.
