Their story
Edgar Stuart, Duke of Cambridge, was born on September 14, 1667, at St. James's Palace. As a member of the House of Stuart, he held royal titles throughout his brief life, including Duke of York, marking him as a significant figure in the line of succession during the late 17th century. Though he did not ascend to the thrones of Scotland, England, or Ireland, his birth and titles were nonetheless matters of great state importance. He resided at Richmond Palace until his death on June 8, 1671, at the age of three. His passing, like his birth, was a notable event within the royal family and court of the time.
