Their story
Philip Prospero, Prince of Asturias, was born in Madrid in 1657. As the son of King Philip IV of Spain, he held the prestigious titles of Prince of Asturias and Duke of Montblanc, signifying his position as heir apparent to the Spanish throne. His brief life, however, was marked by delicate health. He passed away in Madrid in 1661, at the tender age of four. Though his time was short, his birth and early life were events of considerable dynastic importance for the Habsburg monarchy during a period of significant European history.
