Charles FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton, was born in London on October 25, 1683, a member of the House of Stuart. He inherited his ducal title early in life, becoming a prominent figure in British society. Throughout his extensive life, he held a number of significant offices, including Vice-Chamberlain, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, and Lord Steward of the Household. His career spanned several decades of significant political and social change in Great Britain. The Duke passed away in his native London on May 6, 1757, leaving a notable legacy of service to the Crown and country.
