Their story
Ivan V, born in Moscow on September 6, 1666, was a member of the esteemed House of Romanov. He ascended to the throne as Tsar of All Russia, later formally Emperor of all the Russias, a title he held until his passing. His reign, shared with his younger half-brother Peter, was a period of transition in Russian history. Despite his delicate health, Ivan V fulfilled his ceremonial duties as co-ruler, ensuring the continuity of the monarchy. He died in Moscow on February 8, 1696, at the age of 29.
